Apparently I’m not the only one who enjoys the affordable plinking of the pistol caliber carbine (PCC). It seems like countless new and differing models pop up often to join long-time popular carbines like the CZ Scorpion and the Stribog SP9A3. It should come as little surprise then that economy brands also follow the trend. Today we are taking a look at one of those options; the Panzer USA HAN9, a nine-millimeter “pistol” that like many others is an obvious nod to adding a pistol brace to avoid the despotic NFA.
Panzer Arms USA imports a great variety of firearms from you guessed it, Türkiye. Most of their offerings are various shotguns, but the HAN 9 is a 9mm pistol that incorporates some interesting features.
The Panzer Arms HAN 9
The Panzer HAN 9 came to me new in the box, with a few accessories and magazines. The HAN 9 uses a typical blowback action, that uses a large bolt or bolt carrier to keep the action closed long enough for the bullet to escape. A captured recoil spring assembly rides behind the bolt within the square tubular receiver. Both are secured with an abutted plate secured by two take-down pins that fits neatly in the back of the receiver. There is also a section of picatinny rail on the back-plate to add a pistol-brace or stock if that the way you want to go.
