Introduction
If you are a Creedmoor hater, you might just skip this one today. Actually, I take that back. Sit down and learn something even if its against your will. We recently went over the Creedmoor family of cartridges, and the pros and cons of each member of the family. Today we are taking a deep dive into one of those members, the 22 Creedmoor. Well go over some of the benefits of this cartridge and why you might choose it, and maybe even why you shouldn’t.

Why the 22 Creedmoor?
Who made the 22 Creedmoor and why you might ask. After all, we already have a great supply of popular overbore centerfire .224 caliber cartridges. Why would we need another one? Sure its a bit faster than the 22-250 or maybe even the 220 Swift, but is that enough reason?
I plan on exposing the many answers to these questions. Aside from the many personal preferences we all have, I believe the strong points for the 22 Creedmoor are all based around advancements in shooting technology.

The 22 Creedmoor is purpose built using modern brass and cartridge manufacturing processes. It maximizes the efficiency of modern propellants, and uses modern bullet selection to its potential. And it has factory specifications to do all this in simple factory mass-manufactured rifles. I’ll go over some of the individual points and their details.
